Tensions between India and Pakistan have reached a boiling point after Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif made a chilling statement, saying that chances of de-escalation are minimal and that war may be the only option left. Speaking to a Pakistani media outlet, Asif accused India of aggressive military actions over the past four days and claimed that Islamabad has exhausted all diplomatic means. “We have to pay them back in the same coin,” he warned, stating that “war is at our doors.”
The comment comes after Pakistan launched an unprovoked attack on Indian military installations near the Line of Control (LoC), prompting a swift and calculated response from India. According to defense sources, Indian forces retaliated with targeted precision strikes on Pakistan Army bunkers and drone launch sites across the LoC. Additionally, the Indian Air Defense successfully intercepted and neutralized multiple Pakistani drones attempting to infiltrate airspace in Jammu and Rajouri regions.
Meanwhile, India has ramped up its military preparedness along the border, deploying additional troops, activating air defense units, and putting frontline airbases on high alert.
The situation remains tense as both nuclear-armed neighbors exchange fire and rhetoric. While the international community has called for restraint, the recent developments signal a dangerous shift away from diplomacy and towards a potential full-scale conflict.
